What is handled, and why

Site delivery and security

When you request a page, Cloudflare processes ordinary technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include an IP address, request time, requested address, browser or device information and security signals.

The purpose is reliable delivery, abuse prevention and technical security. The lawful basis for any personal data involved is the legitimate interest in operating a secure public website.

Feedback messages

If you use the feedback form, the site handles your message, an optional reply address, the submission time and a short-lived Cloudflare Turnstile security token. The message is emailed privately to the author and is not added to a submission database.

The purpose is to receive and answer correspondence while preventing spam. The lawful basis is the legitimate interest in responding to messages and protecting the form. Supplying a reply address is optional.

Please do not send pupil names, pupil work, safeguarding information or other sensitive personal information. Material sent by mistake will be deleted when identified.

Progress saved on your device

Philosophy Lab activities use session storage to hold the choices needed for the activity you requested. It normally disappears when that browser tab or session closes. Revision Institute tools use local storage to remember recent questions and flashcard judgements between visits.

This information stays in your browser. Bibby Philosophy does not receive it, connect it to an identity or use it to profile you. The storage is limited to providing the interactive function and recording the selections you make.

Cookies and similar technologies

Bibby Philosophy does not set non-essential advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary security storage if a visitor encounters a security challenge or uses the protected feedback form. Turnstile normally returns a short-lived verification token; Cloudflare can also issue a clearance cookie when that security feature is configured or required.

Because the site does not enable non-essential tracking, it does not display a cookie-consent banner.

Sharing and retention

Cloudflare provides hosting, traffic security and Turnstile. The services needed to deliver feedback email also process that message. Information is not sold, rented or shared for advertising.

Session progress lasts for the browser session. Revision progress remains on your device until you clear it. Feedback email is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to read it, reply and retain any necessary correspondence. Technical security information follows the service provider’s current operational and security retention settings.

External resources, Stripe and PayPal receive information only after you choose to follow their links. Their own privacy information then applies.
